The resistance abated for the 2012 London Olympics simply because it would have been a national embarrassment to omit a team from where the game was codified. The time in a swimming race is from group start to the last wall-touch by the last swimmer. The group start is announced by a beep or horn that starts the race clock. A race judge pushes the button that sounds the beep and starts the clock. The swimmers start racing once they hear the beep. Modern racing-class pools have sensors in the pool walls that are touched by the swimmers, and knowing how to touch in optimal fashion is a skill that any world-class swimmer has to learn.   It shows a failure to make a connection to another human being. In most relationships both parties bond with pets and both people and the pets become a family unit. My wife and I raised a puppy who wants to be with both of us to be happy and yet our barn cat doesn’t tolerate me except for coming when I feed her. I don’t have any issue with the cat as she has a job to do(keeping the barn free of rats) and my wife puts me first over our pets. At one time I had a girlfriend who had a cat that she would allow to climb all over the freshly washed and dried towels. I’ve owned several cats over the years and that’s not an acceptable behavior in my opinion. At any rate you need to reevaluate your relationship and perhaps find a woman without a pet or one willing to put you first in the relationship. Don’t expect that to happen if she has children.   Some years ago, my neighbors had a rescue dog. After helping a litter of pups, she became very territorial. Trouble was, she viewed the entire block as her territory. She “accidentally “ got out often. My late son ,who was wheelchair bound, likes to take some sun and fresh air in front of our building. The dog bothered him more than once. But when she bit him, I called animal control. They informed the neighbors that if this happened again, the dog would be euthanized. I also let them know that there would be a civil suit. (The husband was a lawyer. Visions of a handicapped child telling a jury how he was attacked by a dog. )Guess what? There was never again an accidental escape. Doggy was only ever seen in the fenced in backyard. It matters not one bit that you viewed your dog getting out as accidental. You are both liable. I predict medal locks from the mixed 10m air rifle and the mixed 10m air pistol; together, they can do what they did almost always in all of 2019’s World Cups and win Gold in both events.
