That you have to go to doctors repeatedly for checkups and medication. I don’t know you, but I feel for you. I have so much respect for your strength and courage and want you to know that this internet stranger is on your side. Keep on keeping on. I broke up a fight in college and was rewarded by having one of them spit blood in my face like a spit-take. Because the blood got in my eyes and mouth I had to take the preventative HIV medicine.

What does “change the world” mean?
They were the largest pills I’ve ever swallowed. I told the police I would drop all charges as long as the dude got tested and provided the results that he didn’t have any cookies, and they got those results back super fast. I stopped taking the meds less than 48 hours after the incident, but I missed two weeks of classes. That stuff knocks you out big time. Thank you so much. It’s hard to talk about with family and friends because I don’t want to upset them. Seeing the looks on my mom and sisters’ faces was heartbreaking, and I needed to get this off my chest. I’m going to say unfortunately rape is an uncomfortable topic. For me I have heard about rape and the process after and some of the ways it can change your life. I try to be aware of that but I don’t feel like I can say much beyond it’s wrong and the whole process to get justice is bad and that the event will stay with you. I should also say I hate rape scenes in tv and movies it just leaves me feeling like I want to go punch therapist and go all vigilante on the world. To those who endure the horrific violation just know, I’m here in your court and I’m trying to change people by speaking about consent and empathy and standing up when something is not kosher. I feel the same way! I have never been raped or sexually assaulted but I know people who have. When there’s a rape scene in a movie, I either turn the movie off, or close my eyes and plug my ears if I’m watching a movie in a theater. It makes me sick to my stomach.
