My time in uniform is over but being a soldier never ends shirt

 While I may look quite confident with my external appearance— I detest the fact that sometimes I look like a ghost. I was born with naturally pale skin— extremely pale skin. That, along with my jet black hair would create a drastic contrast, my unusually blue eyes adding to my somewhat of an unusual appearance. I’m constantly questioned if there’s something wrong with me, if I’m sick, if I’m anemic— or when they want to compare how light my complexion is, exactly. Oh, and the repetitive remarks about how I should become a vampire. It irks me.
